Vol. VII, p 60-61) Last Will & Testament(lost) by Deposition Deed Bk 3, 1737-1742 p. 388 reel 1 Goochland, County, Virginia Goochland Co. This Deposition of William Arnold of Goochland County aged forty years and thereby being sworn in the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God, his deposition saith That William Bostick late of this County aforesaid, did on the Thirtieth day of December left his last Will and Testament in Writing and Signed, Sealed & published the same. In the presence of these Witnesses, that is to say, Valentine Bostick, this Deponent & Elizabeth his Wife Subscribed their Names to the said Will in the presence of the Testator being then of Sound Mind & Memory according to the Judgement & Belief of this Deponent & to the best of his memory the Testator had by His said Will Disposed of his Estate in the following manner & to his Son Charles he gave all his Land surveyed & unsurveyed, also his Negroes Sam & Jenney all his stock of hogs all his Cattle, all his Corn and Tobacco, Two feather Beds, his Tools of all Sorts, half of his pewter, Two Iron pots, one leather Trunk, some Leather Chairs, but how many this Deponent cannot remember. To his Son John he gave One Iron pot & four leather Chairs. To his Son William he gave one horse, One Brass Kettle & five pounds Cash. To his Daughter Mary Francis he gave One Feather Bed & one cow and calf. All the residue of his Estate he gives to be equally divided among this Three Sons John Charles & William & his Daughter Mary Francis. This is all this Deponent can Remember of the said Last Will of William Bostick deceased, & further saith not. Taken before us June 16, 1740. Wm Mayo, Daniel Stow[n?]er This Deposition of John Bostick of Goochland County aged Thirty years or there abouts being Sworn on this Holy Evangelists of Almighty God, he Deposeth & Saith that since the death of his Father William Bostick late of this County he this Deponent he had after seen & read his said Fathers Last Will & Testament that his said Father had thereby disposed of his property in manner Deposed by William Arnold; that the said last Will & Testament hath similar content together with the Dwelling house of the Deceased & further this Deponent saith not.
