Wallingford, John, b. in Newbury 7 Apr. 1659, s. of Nicholas and Sarah (Travers), m. 6 Dec. 1687 Mary Tuttle. His fa. was neph. of Wm. Gore or Goore, gent., of Nether Wallop, co. Hants; see Waters' 'Gleanings' i: 146-7, and assignment of £40 each, as legacies from gt.-uncle, given by John and his br. and sis. to Wm. Longfellow in 1686 (N. H. Probate, i: 308). He was liv. in 1705, she in 1717, neither named in s. Ebenezer's will. Ch. b. at Bradford: John, b. 14 Dec. 1688, had w. Charity. He depos. in June 1750 that he was b. at Bradford, mov. to Newingt. ± 40 yrs. ago, to Somersworth ± 7 yrs. ago, and to Rochester ± 4 yrs. ago. Will 1761--1762. 10 ch. Nicholas, b. 28 Oct.
