"While final standings of the Washington girls' swim team in the Intercollegiate Telegraphic Meet were not known when this went to press, the hopes of the natators are high as times turned in were outstanding. In the 100-yard free style the team of Irma Schoennauer, Merna Taber, Jean Kolinski and Betty Lea finished in .56, while the national records for the same race was .57.3. University of Montana was host to the meet this year."
