The omission of "1777" in the title is probably due to a printer error for the 1777 taxes, which lists it under the heading of 1779. (Thus there are two lists given for 1779, one for 1777, and one for 1779. The first page of each list gives the tax rate for the specific year actually recorded in the list.)
