[edit] About their MarriageNote: Hannah's first husband was killed in Marlborough (on the road to Sudbury) on 20 April 1676. Richard Taylor served with Capt. Joseph Sill in the region [check] on 24 April 1676, FOUR DAYS after the massacre that killed Eleazar Ward. Surely, Taylor must have been involved in the campaign which was a response to this killing? And through this he likely met the young (and pregnant) widow of Eleazar Ward. Massachusetts Marriages, 1633-1850 [edit] Their ChildrenRichard Taylor of Sudbury married 17 Oct 1677 Hannah (Rice) Ward (widow of Eleazar Ward) Their marriage is in the Sudbury vital records. [Source: Middlesex County (Sudbury) VR; see NEHGS Register Volume 17.] Their children (all listed in Middlesex County (Sudbury) Vital Records were: The distribution of Richard Taylor's estate names an additional son, Jonathan Taylor (b. abt. 1692) (Middlesex, Vol. 8, p. 785); this is the only child of Richard and Hannah not recorded in the Sudbury VR; the probate is the only current documentation that names him as their child. In April 1686, they were living in Sudbury.
