Children

The NEHGR (49:66) identifies six children of Robert & Agnes Bent through baptismal records. It also adds son Robert, first named in his will and probably the oldest, and daughter Jane. Bent Family in America provides seven, including daughter Jane. Based on these sources, the following is a list of known children: Margery (baptismal record, not named in will); Robert (named in will); Richard (baptismal record, perhaps intended to be Robert); John (named in will & baptism record); Maria (baptismal & burial records); Dennis (baptismal records and named in will); Agnes (baptismal record and named in will); and Jane (named in will).

   Robert Bent (son of John Bent preceding), was born in September, 1566, in Penton-Grafton, where he died in July, 1631, ae. 64 years and 10 mos. He married, Oct. 13, 1589, Agnes Gosling,
   who followed her son to America..
   
   Children of Robert & Agnes (Gosling) Bent: Margery 1590, Richard 1592, John 1596, Maria 1598, Dennis 1599, Agnes 1602, and Jane.

3. ↑ Bent Family states married in Penton Grafton, however, the records are in Wayhill, which was the parish for the hamlet of Penton Grafton.
