TO ALL WHOM this present Writing shall come I FRANCIS JACKSON sendeth greeting. Know yee that I FRANCIS JACKSON & SARAH my Wife of County of Prince William for divers causes but more especially for the natural Love that I bear unto my Son, namely SAMUEL, having given unto my said Son and the heirs of his respected body lawfully begotten forever the respective tract of land whereon my Son, SAMUEL, now lives as follows: I give to my Son SAMUEL JACKSON Two hundred and forty two acres of land being in County of Prince William on a branch of OCCOQUAN RIVER called the CABIN BRANCH & is bounded begining at the markt white Oak standing on the Northwest side of a small branch issuing out of the upper side of the said CABIN BRANCH & extending thence North West to a black Oak saplin on a Ridge, thence North East to a Great Popler, thence North West to a great Black Oak & small Hickory standing on a hill side by a branch, thence down the said branch North East to a Stake near a markt black Oak by the said Branch, thence North East to a white Oak standing by the side of the Said CABIN BRANCH, thence crosing the sd branch South East to a Hickory, thence South East to a white Oak, thence North to the begining to include Two hundred and forty two acres of land Together with all houses, buildings, gardens, waters and Tenements whatsoever to the only proper use and behoof of my said Son, SAMUEL, and the heirs of his Respective body lawfully begotten for ever & to no other purpose whatsoever.

To have and to hold forever In confirmation whereof we have set our hands and seals this 2d. day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred & seventy eight & FRANCIS JACKSON AND SARAH my Wife do Except one half acre of land out the sd Tract of land which is allready appointed for a BURING PLACE.

In the presences of FRANCIS JACKSON SARAH [ C ] JACKSON At a Court held for Prince William County the 2d. Novr. 1778 This Deed from FRAS. JACKSON and SARAH his WIFE (the feme being first privily examined & consentg thereto) to SAMUEL JACKSON was acknowledge by said JACKSON & WIFE & admitted to record.
