Yes records show Robert Mcgee lived Botetourt and Montgomery Co Va Botetourt Co. Va 8/13/1771 David MCgee, Robert McGeehee and Sam'l McGeehee be summoned to the next court to "shew" cause why they refused to obey Robert Alexander, sheriff in retaking Joseph Alexander after breaking prison ( others were listed also) Sept.10,1770 and also under date 5/8/1770 Alexander McGee and Sissel Andrews who stand prsented by the grand jury for unlawfully cohabiting together summoned and not appearing both were fined Sissel Andrews was also fined for having a bastard child John McGee showed up in the county records dated 6/23/1785 David McGee was mentioned in court records dated 5/8/1770,11/12/1772, and 2/10/1773 he owned a plantation in Botetourt Co. James McGee was on a jury 8/16/1770 Montgomery Co. Va 8/2/1784 Robert McGee & wife Jane as grantors to Robt. Richey grantee L135 140 acres Toms Cbr New R Ordered Robert McGee have leave to build a mill on his own land on Thoms Creek & to take the usual "toal" Fincastle Co. Yes Robert Mcgee George Pearis land admistrator did go to Clarks station with George Teater Bottom document. Duplicate filming. Rations issued to Lincoln County Militia for defense of the county's frontier. Deed 271 Acres from Geo Pearis Jr AT for George Pearis Sr. 1775 200 Acres from Robert Mcgee on the North Branch. Pieter and Jacques , Joshua Creison families listed 1659- 1682- have seen postings for Abraham Creason of Rowan and Surry CO NC being a desc. of this family . The De Haes family listed with these Creissons. Peter and Abraham Creason listed 1759 Rowan CO NC tax list.- posting show a possable NJ Enyart connection for Abraham Creason. Abraham Creason and Silas Enyart found with the 1761 Rowan CO NC tax list of Caleb Osborn with the Morgan Bryan group. Deed 1762 Rowan- Morgan Bryan to Morgan Bryan JR - 300 acres s/side Deep Creek ( this is Surry CO 1771 ) - Edward Hughes ( Boone assoc. ) and Abraham Creason on deed. 1768 Rowan tax list of Gideon Wright- Abraham Creason , Robert Frobis/Forbush, Daniel Boon, Vinson Jones. This tax list winds up in Surry CO NC . FYI- Morgan Bryan SR owned land in the Deep Creek, Surry CO area and Morgan JR was selling it off later. The Copes' who are not found owning land in Rowan or Surry may have lived on the Morgan Bryan land and payed Morgan JR taxes for living there. The 9 names found on the 1768 Rowan tax list of Morgan JR and found later in Surry Abraham Creason is show with land next to George Forbush who lived near Shallowford and has a Creek name from him there Surry CO NC by 1780. 1774 Surry CO NC tax list of Rev War Col. Benjamin Cleveland ( who was rescued from the Tories by the Calloways Rev War ) has James, William and John Cope and Abraham Creson who has Thomas McBride, David Enyard- negroes Jack, Vall, Jane and Jane 7 taxables with him. FYI- it appears that Daniel Boone was in the area of Surry CO NC 1768 listed in KY by 1769. Rowan Court Record- 13 July 1763- by Jo White Linn 1995 on motion it is ordered that a Wagon road the best and nearest and best way from the Shallow Ford upon the Yadkin River to the town of Salisbury, and the following persons are appointed to lay off, and mark the same, to wit. Samuel Bryan Morgan Bryan James Bryan Roger Turner Abraham Creson has a 1791 Surry CO NC will- son Joshua and dau. Jane/Jenny listed. Jane married 2 times one was Charles Steelman - Joshua marr. Rachel Steelman -children of Mathias Steelman b) 1755 DE. Mathias Steelman is on the Benjamin Cleveland tax list 1774. Henry Spear marr. Ruth Steelman dau. of Mathias.
