Per LC Strahan's notes: Hetty Montgomery McEwen: Hetty claims that her parents came to Nashville in 1786, when it was just a fort on the Cumberland, in NC. In 1808, they left Lincoln Cty (sic?) to settle on bounty land's Robt Kennedy rec'd for military service.
