    156. Elder Humphrey1 Reyner came with the Rev. Mr. Rogers, 1639. No mention is found of any other elder of this church. He was born at Gildersome, in the West-Riding of Yorkshire, near Leeds (England) (Savage). He brought with him his wife, Mary, and three daughters; freeman 18 : 3 mo. 1642. He had a three-acre house lot on Wethersfield Street, 1643. He was buried 14 Sept., 1660. His will, dated 10 Sept., 1660, mentions wife, Mary; son Wigglesworth; grandchild Mercy Wigglesworth; Mr. John Whipple, senior, of Ipswich; son John Whipple, Jr.; Mr. Ezekiel Rogers, Pastor of the church of Rowley; Mr. Samuel Phillips; "my grandchildren Humphrey, John and William Hobson; my daughter Whipple; and my daughter Hobson"; brother John Reyner, Pastor at Dover and Dea.
