James Blair, son of Colbert Blair and Sarah Morgan was probably born before 1767, probably in Pennsylvania. He married Anna in Virginia and their eldest son was George Blair. He died during the Revolutionary War and Letters of Administration were granted to Anna 22 Oct 1783 in Burke Co., NC. His estate inventory was taken 10 Nov 1783. These facts were gleaned from his probate records which can be viewed in the North Carolina, U.S., Wills and Probate Records, 1665-1998 database at ancestry.com.
