Person:Joan Treadaway (1)

Joan was raised in DeKalb Co, AL near where her Treadaway kin lived. Joan was named after her father John and she changed her name to Joan as an adult. Joan and her mother lived in Atlanta, GA where she worked as a dental hygenist. Joan was the first person in the family to get a college education. After retiring Joan sold her house and moved to Albertville, AL to be near her cousins. She loved dogs and always had one and she loved each of them like they her children. She had a chihauhau named Honey Bun in the sixties and her last dog was a toy poodle named Janey. When Janey died she was buried in a pet cemetery. On holidays someone always invited Joan for a visit and to enjoy a festive holiday meal. Joan was knowledgeable about most all topics and could carry on an intelligent conversation with most anyone. She liked to play bridge and was in a bridge club that met weekly.
