The funeral of John Bratton, who died from kidney trouble at 10 o'clock Friday night, will be held at the family residence, 1919 East Twelfth street, at 9:30 o'clock this morning. The Rev. F. Y. Campbell, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. The deceased was born in Kentucky in 1843. He was married in that state, and in 1869 moved to Pettis County, settling at Lookout, where he engaged in farming. Seven years ago he gave up farming and moved to Sedalia, locating at the address where he died and where he spent the remaineder of his life. The deceased was a member of the East Sedalia Baptist Church and had served in the federal army in the civil war. He is survived by his widow and the following children: Mrs. F. F. Rush, Mrs. Sadie Willis and Mrs. William Wilson, all of Sedalia; Mrs. Ida Mock and Mrs. George Woodfield, both of Lamonte; William Bratton, of Lookout. He also leaves a brother, W. J. Bratton, of Bratton, KY.
