All my estate to my loving wife Susannah during her widow-hood for the support of her and our four children till they come to age or at her death all to be equally divided between my children.
My loving wife Susannah and Mr. William Strother her father executors.

27 Aug. 1778. Presented into Court by Susannah Hawkins. Proved by Benjamin Hawkins and James Hawkins. Executrix with William Strother and Francis Moore Junr. her securities entered into bond for £100 current money.

Information on Moses Hawkins

Capt. Moses Hawkins was born in 1750 in USA, Virginia, Culpeper Co..749 He served in the military American Revolution between 1774 and 1777 in Virginia.1015 William Strother Hawkins, heir, received on 17 July 1786 warrent no. 3326 from the Commonwealth of Virginia for 4000 acres of land due Moses Hawkins, dec'd, who served three years as a Captain in the Virginia Continental line. He signed a will on 16 April 1777 in USA, Virginia, Orange Co..1016 Book 2, pg 522. Witnesses were James, Benjamin, and Sarah Hawkins. The children were under ten in 1785. Moses died on 4 October 1777 in USA, Pennsylvania, Germantown. He died in the battle of Germantown.
