Baldwin argues that placing her as a child of Richard I (Europäische Stammtafeln 2:79) or Richard II (Stasser and de Vajays) is a mistake.

    She is identified in a charter dated to about 1180-1182 as "Muriele sorore Ricardi principis" (Muriel sister of Prince Richard). The charter refers to a previous donation and it is unknown when the donation occurred, so her dates are unknown. Cawley comments that Ricardi principis "presumably could have been either Duke Richard II or Duke Richard III".
