Robert Tanner (Gerber) is listed among the settlers that migrated from Germany to Germanna Colony in Virginia ca 1720.

On Nov. 8, 1727 proved his importation, claiming that he came to this country in 1720 and brought with him wife Mary and children Christopher, Christiana, Kathrina, Mary and Parva.
