"… Ruth Rice of Marlborough, Massachusetts, daughter of Dea. Edmund Rice and Mercy (Hurd) Bingham, born 29 September 1659 in Sudbury, Massachusetts (Sudbury pub. VR 123); and died 31 March 1742 in Glastonbury, Connecticut (Barbour citing VR 1:14, although Hale 7 gives the date as the 39th [-sic-see following comment]), at age 82 according to her gravestone in Green Cemetery (Hale 7)."
NOTE: See her mother's person page for a discussion of the Hurd surname.
[Note: the gravestone says 30, so presumably the date of 39 seen above is a typo, probably by this source. The online record for Ruth Welles in the Hale collection here says 30.]
