He receipted for bounty Aug. 9, 1781; signed an order for wages due him April 26, 1784. Received a pension in Rockingham co. N.H. for service "in the Massachusetts line," which was continued to his widow after his death.
He bought land in Derryfield, N.H. in 1795; resided at Londonderry, and Derry, N.H. in 1805. In the burying-ground at Derry is a stone inscribed with his name and the record of his death, Jan. 18, 1838, at the age of 79. Geo. W. Pinkerton was administrator of his estate. The widow passed away March 14, 1841. Her home was with her son William in her old age.
