    "Hill, William, s. of William, 2d. Born about 1661, d. at Fairfield, 19 Apr. 1739 in 78 yr. (g. s.). Deacon, Fairfield Church. … Will 21 Jan. 1728/9, proved 24 Apr. 1739; wife Sarah; three sons, Joseph, William, David; two grandchildren, Joseph and Abigail Squire. On 3 Nov. 1766, Samuel Rowland in right of his wife Abigail (granddau. of Wm. Hill dec'd) asked for adm'n on the part of Est. bequeathed in his will to David Hill; Joseph and William Hill, only surviving children, appealed."
