Ampthill Rural District was located in Bedfordshire, England from 1894 to 1974.

It entirely surrounded but did not include the Urban District of Ampthill. In 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, it was merged with other districts to form the non-metropolitan Mid Bedfordshire District. Since 2009 the area forms part of Central Bedfordshire District.
