Barford is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk, situated some 4 miles (6 km) north of Wymondham and 8 miles (13 km) west of Norwich.
The civil parish has an area of 4.38 km2 and in the 2001 UK census had a population of 508 in 201 households, the population increasing to 547 at the 2011 UK census. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the South Norfolk District.
A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Barford from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1871-72:
- "BARFORD, a parish in Forehoe [registration] district, Norfolk; on the river Yare, 5 miles NNW of Wymondham [railway] station, and 9 W of Norwich. Post Town: Barnham-Broom under Wymondham. Acres: 1,052. Real property: £22,506. Population: 419. Houses: 94. The property is sub-divided. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich. Value: £288. Patron: Skinner Turner, Esq. The church is good; and there are two Methodist chapels."
