Bossington is a village and civil parish in the Test Valley District of Hampshire. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 41. The village is located by the River Test, and is about 7 miles north of Romsey. Bossington has included the former civil parish of Crown Farm since 1883.

A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Bossington from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"BOSSINGTON, a parish in Stockbridge [registration] district, Hants; on the river Anton, and on the Roman road from Winchester to Sarum [Salisbury], adjacent to the Andover railway, 3½ miles SSW of Stockbridge. Post Town: Broughton, under Winchester. Acres: 615. Real property: £722. Population: 45. Houses: 9. The property is all in one estate. The living is a [perpetual] curacy, annexed to the rectory of Broughton, in the diocese of Winchester. The church was rebuilt in 1839; and is a handsome edifice, of stone and flint, in the early English style."

Bossington was in the Stockbridge Rural District from 1894 until 1932, and in the Romsey and Stockbridge Rural District from 1932 until 1974. Since 1974 the parish has been in the Test Valley District of Hampshire.
