Botwnnog is a village and community (or parish) in Gwynedd in Wales (before 1974 the historic county of Caernarvonshire), located on the Llŷn Peninsula 6 km (4 mi) west-northwest of Abersoch. It had a population of 955 in the UK census of 2001, increasing to 996 at the 2011 census.
Botwnnog lies between Mynydd Mynytho and Sarn Meyllteyrn. In 1934 it absorbed parts of the parishes of Bryncroes, Llangïan, Llaniestyn and Meyllteyrn and all of the parish of Llandegwning.
