Castle Bromwich Rural District covered the more rural areas northeast of Birmingham and surrounding the Municipal Borough of Sutton Coldfield. It existed from 1894 until 1912 when the sections that were not absorbed into Birmingham and Sutton Coldfield were transferred to Meriden Rural District situated to the south. Castle Bromwich, Curdworth and Minworth are now part of the Birmingham Metropolitan Area while Water Orton and Wishaw have been transferred to the North Warwickshire District in Warwickshire.
