Colyton Hundred is located on the south coast of Devon, but had several inland parishes. The area is now in what is now the East Devon District. It is #7 on the map.
A Vision of Britain through Time gives some statistics about Colyton Hundred from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
- "[Colyton] hundred contains eleven parishes. Acres: 28,487. Population: 7,810. Houses: 1,630
GENUKI provides a further description from White's History, Gazetteer, and Directory of Devonshire of 1850.
