Fremington hundred was located between the Rivers Taw and Torridge in the west of Devon. It is #12 on the map.
A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following statistics for Fremington from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
- "[Fremington] hundred lies between the Taw and the Torridge, and contains eleven parishes. Acres: 31,384. Population: 5,861. Houses: 1,192."
The rural parishes of the hundred were split between the rural districts of Torrington and Barnstaple in 1894.
GENUKI provides a further description from White's History, Gazetteer, and Directory of Devonshire of 1850.
