- “The Mount Pleasant Cemetery (also known as Pettijohn) is located in Jackson Township, Hamilton County, Indiana, on the east side of Anthony Road (County road E-33) ¼ mile south of the intersection of Anthony Road and 236th Street. It about 100 yards from the highway on what is known as the McFarland farm."
- "There is an earlier listing of some of the gravestones in this cemetery in the Noblesville Library on which the names appear differently (with maiden names, additional dates and relationships) which lead us to believe that the person who compiled that earlier list had additional knowledge of these families and included the information in their listing even though it did not appear on the gravestones. We have noted some of this information in our listing but have shown the names and inscriptions as they actually appear on the grave stones.”
