Narowal was inhabited in 1726 (A.D) by a sikh named naro singh bajwa and was named on the name of naro singh. Till 1991 it was a tehsil of district sialkot and then it was annouced a district by prime minister gulam mustfa jatoi. In the east and north of narowal is situated river ravi and INDIA. In the south of it is OCCUPIED KASHMIR. Total population of Narowal is about 16,18,764.A number of tribes and castes are inhibted in it including jat, rajput, gujjar, arain, malik, and also many others.
