On the Ordnance Survey map of 1900 Nutwith and Roomer Common is situated on the southern boundary of Masham Urban District. It was a parochial area of 260 acres and zero population which was absorbed into the parish of Swinton with Warthermarske in 1934 when Masham Urban District became Masham Rural District.
