West Caister was a parish established in 1926 from the western, inland section of Caister next Yarmouth near Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, England. In 1935 it rejoined with East Caister to form a new parish of Caister-on-Sea. West Caister is still shown on Google Earth as a very rural location outside a built-up area. [edit] Research TipsBecause East and West Caister were not formed until the 20th century, most genealogical references for the parish area will be found under the former municipality of Caister next Yarmouth. |
