Source:Morrow DNA Project

Overview

The Morrow DNA project started mainly with descendants of Southern Morrow families, but now includes several members from Ireland, Australia, Pennsylvania and Ohio lines. Overview here.

Project administrators maintain a large research file showing the lines related to participants, and those that might be by virtue of geographic proximity. Although participants must be Morrow-born males, anyone is welcome to contribute to the database. Following the decommissioning of WorldConnect, most of the database is available through Ancestry, and is slowly moving to WeRelate.

Usage Tips

Initial DNA results, with explanations, can be found at the freepages link to the left. A list of participants by group linking to their WeRelate pages is here.

If you are citing the results, which tell you that two lines share a common male descent (not who that ancestor is), this Project is the primary source and should be cited as such.

If you find information in one of the databases posted by the project, cite the Project as a temporary source only. The data generally contains other sources that should be followed up, or contact the administrators to be put in touch with the users who submitted the information.
