I became interested in genealogy almost 30 years ago. I have a number of relatives interested as well. I have traced most of my lines back to the mid 1700's. Some go back into the 1600's. I haven't found an immigrant before 1730--I'm an all American girl. I think it's exciting to know where you're from, know about family traditions, know why you have certain traits.

There is so much information available on the Internet, but it is very hard to find. Also there are so many people duplicating each others work when they could be working together. But, they don't know each other, how to connect, or how to easily share their experience, documentation and ideas.

Dallan and I thought it would be a great thing to create a free website that would help people trace their ancestors and work together. The Foundation for On-Line Genealogy, Inc., (FOLG) was born. We hope you find it useful and share what you know with the rest of the community.
