WeRelate talk:Featured page nominations

From WeRelate

Place to feature genealogy treasures mines [17 May 2008]

While researching my extended Coker family; I found a super county site today. I know that I can enter the data on the locality page but just thinking that we might wish to consider nominating a site (preferably one with no fee or insignificant fees) that was in some way special to the genealogical community. The link to this site is not working for me this evening. Anyway it is the county clerk's office in Alachua Florida. This clerk has made digital images of older records and volunteers are indexing the records. On another list I also found out that the clerk of Guilford County, North Carolina won tbe election and one of the campaign promises was to sell copies of marriage records for 5 cents, which he or she is doing. Just wondering what we could setup for everyone to share this type of information in a place on WeRelate that will not be lost amongst all of the categories. I am sure that y'all run across other special sites in your research. --Beth 20:13, 17 May 2008 (EDT)

Good question. Maybe list them under "recommended links" on the appropriate Place pages?--Dallan 12:59, 28 May 2008 (EDT)
