  1.   Note: Source:Cutler, Nahum Sawin. Cutler Memorial and Genealogical History, p. 30, identifies the Tabitha Cutler who married John Haynes as the daughter of Thomas and Tabitha, creating a fictitious daughter that never existed. But there is no record of them having such a daughter. Cutler erroneously recorded the birth of Abner in 1701 instead of 1707 leading him to believe there was a gap for such a daughter to be born in, when in fact there are no real gaps where such a daughter would fit in this family (unless she was eldest). Further, he recorded the marriage in 1735 when the record says 1725. So instead, it appears to be the widow who married John Haynes, as indicated by the Edmund Rice Association. This is also the arrangement shown in an article on the Haynes family in Source:NEHGR, p. 47:71, which claims as one of its sources a manuscript written by this very John Haynes when he was about 90 years old (in or after 1772).
