Maurine Creagh was a descendant of Michael Horsfall who lived in Australia but who spent many summers in England researching family history, including that of the Horsfalls of West Yorkshire. She also corresponded with Horsfall descendants all over the world during the 1960s through the 1990s, gathering family information and also sharing what she learned. The information she had was the best available for the time period, and some of it (family stories, for instance) remains unique. When she died, some of her research was inherited by a nephew, Bruce Allen, who continued her policy of researching and sharing.
