Facts and Events
BIOGRAPHY: Clerical surveys of Langarod, Malmohus, Sweden, show Anders moving around quite a bit (almost once a year) as a farmhand before he settled down with his family and became a tailor. At one point he applied to become the district tailor. This would be a very high distinction, but I do not know if he got the position. BIOGRAPHY: According to Robert B. Anderson's records, Anders was a tailor and a popular violin player. I have confirmed that Anders was a tailor on the clerical surveys of Langarod, Malmohus, Sweden. BIOGRAPHY: From Robert B. Anderson's records: "Anders left his young family in Sweden to find work in Denmark. Anna and the family had no support for themselves and therefore had to rely on friends. One was a neighbor named Jons Andersson. A few years later, Anders returned to find that Anna was carrying Jons's Child, Bengta Marie. Anders left his family again and disappeared. In 1910 his only son, Ole, found him in Illinois with another family. That family would not accept Ole, nor recognize him as Anders's son. It is not known, yet, when he remarried." Image Gallery
