BIOGRAPHY: Before Anna turned 13, her stepfather was sent to prison for his part in a murder, according to the clerical survey in Huarod, Kristianstad, Sweden, from 1823-1839. On this same record (p. 10 of Microfilm 141392) Anna is noted as the illegitimate daughter of Bengta Mansdotter.

BIOGRAPHY: After the birth of her second son, Anna's husband went to Denmark "with her permission." A few years later, the survey states that the husband's whereabouts were unknown at that time. By this time the whole family had converted to Mormonism and Anna had two illegitimate daughters along with the two children she had with Anders. (according to clerical surveys in Huarod - Microfilm 382337 and others)
