A map, also from GENUKI, illustrates the locations of the various parishes within the hundred.

A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Gallow Hunred from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1871-72:

"GALLOW, a hundred in Norfolk; between the hundreds of North Greenhoe and Launditch, in the NW part of the county. It contains thirty-one parishes. Acres: 44,292. Population in 1851: 9,955; in 1861: 10,024. Houses: 2,100."
