Llanvapley (Welsh: Llanfable) is a village in Monmouthshire, south east Wales, United Kingdom.
Llanvapley is on the B4233 road, four miles from Abergavenny and ten miles from Monmouth. In very recent times, the village has been referenced as Llanfapley but without substance or any factual reasons.
A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Llanvapley from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
- "LLANVAPLEY, a parish in Abergavenny [registration] district, Monmouth[shire]; on the river Trothy, 4 miles E of Abergavenny [railway] station. Post town: Abergavenny. Acres: 819. Real property: £1,345. Population: 156. Houses: 31. The property is much subdivided. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Llandaff. Value: £231. Patron: the Earl of Abergavenny. The church is dedicated to St. Mapley, and is good."
In 1935, in a move to reduce the number of parishes within Abergavenny Rural District, Llanvapley was absorbed into the civil parish of Llanarth Fawr.
