They first lived in Detroit and then retired to Florida. Since they did not have any children they left money first to Animal Shelters, and the rest to nieces and nephews.

Obituary

"Mrs. Bernice Wells Hollister -- Word has been received of the death Monday of Mrs. Bernice Wells Hollister, 85, of Orlando, Florida, a former South Bend resident. She was born on October 16, 1893, in South Bend and lived here for many years until moving to Orlando 20 years ago. A homemaker, on October 28, 1920, in South Bend, she married Jack Hollister, who survives. Also surviving are three sisters, Ruth Baer and Lillian Hintz, both of South Bend, and Grace Collier of La Porte.

Services will be at 3 PM Wednesday in the Carey Hand Chapel, Orlando. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society."
