Obituary 1

"Mrs. Lydia Wells, age 70, of 1505 South Michigan Street, died in St. Joseph's hospital at 8 o'clock Wednesday night following a five weeks illness. She was born in Stark County, Ohio, April 24, 1858, and came here 65 years ago from Ohio. Her marriage to Elmer E. Wells, who survives, took place March 2, 1884. In addition to her husband she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. O. A. Hollister, in Orlando, Florida, Mrs. J. U. Collier, of La Crosse, Indiana; Mrs. D. R. Baer, of Elkhart, Indiana, and Mrs. William Hintz and Mrs. Nellie Mann of this city; three sons, Earl, Glen and Ralph Wells, all of South Bend, and the following sisters: Miss Vina Folk and Mrs. Clara Kreighbaum, of Los Angeles, CA, and Mrs. Rebecca Folk, Mrs. William Mangus and Mrs. George Brown, of South Bend. Funeral services will be held in the residence Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. George M. Anderson, of the Indiana Avenue Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery."
