Could I also suggest those that are very skilled in history to be added as volenteers. As I was doing hard research in Long Beach Ca. with a proffessional he kept shaking his head. (As we had become freinds over the hour I occupied the library.) Thois was pre internet era. He told me "Your methods are unorthadox but that does mean your wrong! Because you get results! History like any science is imperfeact and the written word is not always gospel. There's no such thing as Black and White. It takes the brave to ask what others are affaid to ask. IE.... With the LDS system they compiled yet not correct as you are valuantly trying to do. Great example is for those that reasearch those early pre 1840 New Jersey ancestors. Six Generations later they follow what is documented but often are unaware of the major loose of arcives after 1830. So the only true referances that can be accepted is from Church, or Family documents. Otherwise it is truely speculation, yet that is not always wrong either. It is a puzzle piece and somewhere some has some missing pieces. I hope you can value my opinion? Thank you for making such a site where other researchers can colaborate!!!

I should also add although I may not have spent the money for Bond's or Savage works and live in the Phillipines I shipped 3 26X24X24 boxes of books and referrance materials. Just never had the major challenge as you've placed. I also share companies with Brit's and Aussie's aand have proven some profficiency in the histories of their home nations for it is also part of my heritage. :>)

All volunteers are welcome! Please add your name to a committee/patrol that you'd like to become involved in. With your interest in history, perhaps the Places committee might be a good fit? Status of Maintenance groups? [15 December 2016]

I know that User:Khaentlahn and User:Solveig are handling GEDCOM uploads, and User:Delijim handles the featured pages. Other users are working on specific projects, like User:Goldenoldie is working on cleaning up places. I'm not up to date on the other maintenance projects. Accuracy [26 July 2022]

I got an account with this site, hoping to find some more information on my one family line that I've spent 600 hours on. However, when I went to the page, the information for my 5th grandparents is totally incorrect. What do I do to make it right? Yes. Click on the "Edit" link on the left-hand side of the page that needs correction (just like you did with this page). Then you can correct the information.--Dallan 18:38, 30 August 2020 (UTC)

Wikipedia articles are imported automatically by using a Template where you want the article to appear. See Template:Source-wikipedia for instructions. On Person or Family pages, I usually place the Template in the text area of a source citation for Wikipedia and after a day or two, the Wikipedia text appears in the citation. --cos1776 14:48, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
